Rounders Was Awesome

Well it still is awesome, but you can’t unwatch movies.  I’ve seen Rounders 3 times and it’s been long enough that I could probably go for it again.  If you’re reading this blog and you’ve never watched Rounders, then go rent it.

Rounders is a pure poker movie starring Matt Damon and my favorite actor Edward Norton.  Both are very believable in their roles.  I’m going to write a brief write-up, but don’t worry this won’t spoil the movie.

Matt Damon is a law student that has quit poker for law school.  However, once his old playing buddy “Worm” (Norton) gets released from prison, he gets talked into another game.  Then another and another until he’s emmersed in poker.  Meanwhile, his studies are being neglected and he struggles to merge his past (poker) and present life (law school).

It’s a great movie whether you’re a poker fan or not.  The great aspect if you do love poker is the entire movie centers around cards.  If you haven’t watched it, take my advice and check it out.

Overall – 7.6/10
