Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski got all passive-aggressive about the fact that North Carolina has a lot of injured players and that people know that North Carolina has a lot of injured players. So, naturally, when talking about his own injured player, Coach K said his team didn’t discuss injuries “unlike other schools.” This apparent slight towards the Tar Heels made UNC coach Roy Williams hopping mad. Hopping mad like Yosemite Sam.
“It’s not like I’m getting a dadgum plane and flying it around to say, ‘Roy fell against a wall and banged his nose’ or anything,” Williams said in a news conference. “We have to do those things (talk about injuries) and everybody’s hurt. But there’s different stages of being hurt.
I’m still not sure what Roy’s point is, exactly, but he said “dadgum.” It is a well-known fact that anytime some one says dadgum, they are right. Either that or they’ve discover gold. Gold in them thar hills! Gold, consarnit!
