RSS Advertising in the news

RSS AdvertisingAlotta news about rss-vertising the past days. Syndicate IQ is announcing a new RSS Ad serving platform. Stuart Watson, CTO and founder, explains “We can now deliver ads within RSS readers regardless of which article an individual subscriber is viewing and which reader he or she is using. Currently, subscribers use different readers, making it difficult to get ads delivered. We can auto-format an ad based on the reader type as well as deliver ads to an article opened by an RSS subscriber.” The solution will be more broadly deployed in the coming weeks… Meanwhile FeedBurner has designed a self-service interface to make the ad-buying process easier for advertisers. The new self-service tools provide a quick way to bypass human contact and purchase media directly via the FeedBurner website. And last but not least, Pheedo is about to announce the launch of “Ads for Feeds”. This is a new service that will make it easy for website publishers to insert and track the ads into their feeds. This should be Pheedo’s big push to grab the publsher market in the emerging RSS advertising space, according to president Bill Flitter.

Well, looks like there is gonna be enough choice for publishers who wanna monetize their content. I’m very curious how this will evolve… Are we gonna get rss-ad-killers?
