RSS Guru Niall Kennedy leaves MS

After only four months since RSS guru and former Technorati engineer Niall Kennedy started at Microsoft, he is already leaving. He announced through his personal blog that he quits his job at Microsoft effective August 18, the reason for leaving is frustration with the company’s handling of Windows Live: “Windows Live is under some heavy change, reorganization, pullback, and general paralysis and unfortunately my ability to perform, hire, and execute was completely frozen as well,” he explained. “It’s easier to get funding outside Microsoft than inside at the moment, so I am stepping out and doing my own thing.” Kennedy said he could have waited it out, but didn’t “want to sit around doing little to nothing until Vista, Office, and Exchange ship.” (via betanews.com)
