RSSMixer mixes feeds for Iphone and others
Electronic exhibit and interactive website developer Ideum has began to offer a service that allows users to combine multiple RSS feeds into one feed through RSS Mixer. The combined multiple RSS feeds can be obtained as (i) RSS feed, (ii) HTML, (iii) iPhone Page, (iv) Web Widget, and an (v)Apple Widget. The service is intended for personal and private use only.
It is easy to go to and make use of RSSmixer. One the main page or the first main page, the user is given the option to create a Mix or select from Featured mixes and recent mixes. The user also has the option to view all mixes on separate page. Once a mix has been created or selected the user is then taken to a second main page where one can see the latest post/articles of the mix, available options and formats for download, and links to the mix. More importantly, in the webpage the RSSMixer patron can also view all the feeds in the mix through a box called well Feeds in this mix. Once finished the user gets to choose what format of the mixed web feed that will be used.
Ideum’s service is probably one of the latest RSS feed mixing service that has began to diversify its bundle of services: it aims provide a service to all webfeed users whether they have an Iphone or a PC.
Unfortunately their site seems to be down now (Bad Gateway error). Hopefully it’ll be up soon as I want a look. We’ve been doing the same thing at FeedDigest.com for over two years now, although we’re now generally a business service. Go to HTML (any template you choose), WAP (for the older phones), JS, widget, whatever. There’s also another service called FeedTwister that’s like a free version of us (although I call it a ripoff :)).
