Two supply chain companies — RubberNetwork and Elemica — decided to merge on Thursday. RubberNetwork works primarily with companies in the rubber and tire industries, while Elemica is in the oil and chemical industries. After the merger, the companies will use the name Elemica.

Mike McGuigan, the current CEO and president of Elemica, thinks this merger is a perfect fit for both companies.

Said McGuigan: “The products of both Elemica and RubberNetwork are similar but not overlapping, we provide outstanding supply chain services to our blue chip clients, and we complement each other in the industries in which we operate. This merger creates exceptional opportunities for our current clients and new manufacturing customers globally to drive greater efficiencies in their businesses. In turn, this will further enhance the growth of our company.”

RubberNetwork’s CEO, Phil Ringo, notes that this partnership isn’t totally new.

Said Ringo: “We have successfully worked together for many years and share common values. Shareholders are committed to sustaining the values that led to our individual success and to leveraging the strengths of the united company to deliver greater value to our customers. I believe this company will be a global powerhouse with immediate benefit for existing and new customers, as well as for the skilled teams from each company.”
