Rumor Mill: PSP App Store Coming Soon?

Sources over at Destructoid seem to suggest that Sony will be unveiling a PSP App store for their PSP Go during the Gamescom in Cologne this upcoming August. While there’s been no official confirmation, the information leak tells us that these apps will be limited to 100 MBs, but that the sky’s the limit regarding everything else. Perhaps this is Sony’s way of offering some competition to the increasing portable gaming popularity of the iPhone.
The smaller games and apps would be a great compliment to digital downloads for the PSP Go system. So while only a rumor for now, I’m sure it would be a very welcome addition to any PSP Go owner’s gaming life. Only a few months to go before Gamescom, and hopefully some more official info will leak before then.

im very excited for this to happen. if it does it will deffinitely help the PSN. PSN will finally be a competitor to the app store
