The last I heard, James Fayed was being held by the authorities, (seems to be a suspect or person of interest in regard to the murder of his estranged wife); but has petitioned the court, stating that the company cannot function without him, so the court has been alerted to our plight. My friend in banking suggests that the court should be naming an executor fairly soon, although an investigation of their books/accounts prior to that may not be out of the question.

Easiest place to get info - believe it or not - is Wikipedia. As of last week, (if I recall correctly), they were updating their article on e-bullion, and references are given - artcles from The Los Angeles Times. Perhaps an RSS feed from the Los Angeles Times would help. Don't know a thing about RSS feeds, myself, but someone recommended it to me. (The folks at Wikipedia were right: this company was not beyond the reach of the federal government's ability to snoop. I'm glad that wasn't a priority for me!)

I had the misfortune of sending a wire for $5000 to e-bullion on the day of Ms. Fayed's death. I have additional funds in E-bullion and other programs with no way of getting the funds out. I'm afraid if the Fed's are involved and if Fayed is indicted we will have a long wait to recover our funds, if we recover them at all. Up until this last wire transfer I have had no problem with E-bullion at all. Everything was paid out on time. E-bullion was much simpler to work with than Liberty Reserve.

The owner of e-bullion James Micheal Fayed was charged by the US court for running the exchange business without a licence. It was further worsened as he was also charged for suspected murder of his wife. Some even argue whether there were real gold back up as claimed. Please read The Industry Standard web site.

Did not know e-bullion was having such problems.
Just thought it was viable corporation like a bank.
I won't make that mistake again.
I was in the process of funding my account when they went belly up.
Do you think I will get my funds back???

Hi,

I've attempted to reach E-Bullion by phone several times with only a recorded message to listen to. I've also sent them an e-mail although the response is likely to come within the system which I cannot access because of a supposedly system update or some such thing. This is bordering on problematic. I do not have a high volume of funds in E-Bullion. I have read that there is a murder charge involved with one of the owners but have no backup except for a blog post on that. It could explain their lack of communication - Note - E-bullion and Goldfingercoin.com I believe are the same company. Again only a phone message at Goldfinger although their website is up whereas E-Bs is not. I have sent an e-mail to their customer service for further information.

Has anyone read that the fed's took control of all of e-bullion's assets?
I had a good amount of money in e-bullion. Can anyone suggest who I would contact to inquire about my funds?
Thanks. Any help is appreciated. lapi7@aol.com

I have a problem with e-bullion: I am still awaiting a wire transfer to my bank - requested after hours on 25 July, 2008.

Everything seems to have gone well: even got the almost-immediate e-mail confirming the transfer and showing the debit to my balance.

It is 6 full business days, and I am still waiting for my funds - and the process is supposed to take no more than 5 days to complete.

It's been impossible to get in contact with anyone: I get the automated answering system that tells me to call back during regular business hours, despite the fact that the call was made during their business hours.

I have just requested a UPS over-night delivery of a check: it should arrive on Wednesday, as this, too, was made after hours today (Monday). Everything seems to have gone correctly. We'll see.

Glad you've had luck, Scott Edwards. I'm moving my funds OUT - if it's possible.
