Greg Raymer is in the midst of another amazing WSOP run. He may very find himself with another bracelet by Monday night. At the end of action today, Raymer found himself back in first place with 8,385,000 chips. Lex ‘RaSZi’ Veldhuis, who had been in second or first place for nearly the whole tournament was ousted in 7th as the field whiddled down. Raymer remains atop with only four players remaining. His primary competition is now Vitaly Lunkin with 7,410,000, but Dani ‘Anksy’ Stern (4,975,000) and Isaac Haxton (3,245,000) remain very much alive.
The Champions Invitational has also started, tying Raymer into two tournaments at once. Raymer did sit down at one point, but had to go right back to playing in Event #2. Russ Hamilton on the other hand appears to be a no show as the Champions Invitational list does not show his name. I have not seen any official updates on this, but I’ll keep looking.
We’re also down to 1017 of 6012 entrants in the $1,000 no limit tournament, Event #4.
