The new Ultimate Fighter season 9 doesn’t start airing until tomorrow night and they have already set a match for the finale show on June 9th. Diego Sanchez won his last fight in the lightweight division against Joe “Big Daddy” Stevenson at UFC 95 by unanimous decision and now he’s set to fight Clay “The Carpenter” Guida. Guida recently beat Nate Diaz, also by close decision.

I think Sanchez is a little better rounded on the ground and he’s improved his standing game greatly since his beginning in the UFC. there are other rumored fights right now but this is the only one that has been confirmed by the UFC.
“Diego Sanchez vs. Clay Guida has the potential to be one of the most action packed fights of the year,” UFC President Dana White said.
Really? Clay Guida is a good fighter, but he’s been extremely boring lately, playing it safe. Sanchez on the other hand seems to have a bit more energy flowing during his fights. If it came to a win by anything more than a decision I would put my money on Sanchez.
