SanDisk and Microsoft Rocks

May 15, 2007 by Milo Riano

SanDisk and Microsoft announced their partnership on developing the next generation of Flash Drives which combines the power of software applications and the portability of Flash and USB devices.

Their agreements says that SanDisk is going to develop new hardware capabilities with TrustedFlash security features while Microsoft will develop a new software experience for USB and flash devices.

It is not clear what kind of software Microsoft will develop and how powerful storage devices SanDisk is releasing as well; but this is something to look forward to as there are lots of things that could come out of it like having an upgraded U3 technology version where your documents and personal file can be put on your flash drive making it portable, highly secured and plug and play wherever you go.

Bringing your personal files with you for privacy and security benefits is a pain and if both SanDisk and Microsoft comes up with a powerful technology, they would surely rock.

These next wave of hardware and software is said to be compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista.
