sardines According to Men’s Health Magazine Sardines are actually good for you. We all know that fish is a good source of Omega 3 fatty acids, but did you know that sardines are a top source of it and even have more Omega 3’s than salmon! I would have never really thought of them as healthy because they are always packed in a can with some kind of oils. I’ll eat them anyway because I like sardines but now I have an excuse when my wife complains about them giving me fish breath. Here is a little tip they tell you though: Look for them packed in olive oil.

Sources Men’s Health gave for finding healthy sardines is Whole Foods and http://thebetterhealthstore.com. They even tell you a few ways to eat them.

I LOVE sardines, but, like you, I have a spouse that doesn’t care how many articles or posts I quote. They just think they’re stinky. Never even thought about combining them with peppadews – I can get them sometimes when I’m lucky at our farmers market. Thanks!

I never even heard of these peppadews. I like sardines and saltines. something about that combo that makes for good snacks, especially when your drinking a few cold ones.

The sardines I bought in India were the same brand as the sardines I buy in New York. Thanks, King Oscar.

I saw plenty of cows walking the streets in India, but I never saw a sardine swimming in the tap water. Did I miss something?

What are saltines? I’m from Scotland and I’ve been told the best sardines are John Smith’s but there so expencive, I usually buy them in tomatoe sauce and put them on toast. The people at my work and college dont really appreciate it when I make it for my lunch though lol but stuff them it’s lovley.

I have always sort a liked sardines. It is something that you begin to appreciate when yo get older.. now that I am.. and trying to get my health back, Im flabbergasted how good sardines are for you. this is excellent. I have a can about 5 days a week now days. Love them in olive oil or in tomato. I have lost 50 lbs in the last 8 months. my blood pressure is much imporved and so is my blood sugar. Doc is about to cut back on these meds. My diet has been a no sugar cereal or steel-cut oatmeal that I have made myself, big emphasis on the oatmeal, a fairly big lunch, just about anything I want but portion controlled.. and yup, a can of sardines for dinner with low-salt crackers. Thanks
