Saturday Spy Gadget: USB Phone Recorder

Phone recorders are nothing really new. Some are built in to phones while sometimes people make recording a phone call a little more crude. There are devices that you can buy that are stealthy, but most of them are anyway.
If you don’t want to person knowing that you’re recording the conversation then all you really have to do is not tell them.
Some places like Radio Shack sell a device that goes between your handset and the main line that has a separate jack on it to plug in to a recording device. While these are a little less expensive they just aren’t as cool as the one I’m about to show you.
This one is a bit priced at b$195, but you record straight to your PC via a USB cable. You simply take the line from the phone base that would normally plug in to the handset and plug that in to the device. You take you handset and plug it in to the device as well and then plug the device in to an open USB port on your PC.
It comes with software and they say you can set it up in two minutes. You also have the option of automatically recording the call or manual function. Pretty simple looking, but again, kind of pricey. If you’re the type that makes a lot of verbal agreements and want to ensure that you have some kind of record, then this is for you and maybe your business.
