SAW some bones next year
The (in)famous “SAW” movies are well-known for the grossly violent actions of the serial killer, Jigsaw–and now you can guide his hand! News of a game based on the SAW movies reached gaming blog Kotaku earlier today. Word has it that the game will hit the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and the Wii in October of 2009. Time to scream and run.
Time for me to scream and run, anyway. I can’t handle horror movies gorier than Poltergeist, so SAW is completely out. It’ll definitely be interesting to see where this goes, however. It has the potential to be a psychological mind-screw along the lines of Silent Hill. It has the much greater potential to be a typical throwaway movie/game tie-in. Don’t say that to Jigsaw’s face, though…not like you’ll be able to.
(Hey, a DS version would be pretty boss too. Get creative with that stylus, yo.)

As a huge horror buff (and an avid watcher of the Saw series) I would absolutely LOVE to see this idea come to fruition. It’d be fantastic! (Wait that sounds a little morbid, doesn’t it?! :/)
Ahem. In any case, I’d be pretty jazzed to see how this turns out.
I’m wondering if I’ll have an easier time playing the game than watching the movie. I’m a wuss when it comes to on-screen violence, but in games it doesn’t bother me at all.
