Schedule, Schedule, Schedule

If you’re new to freelancing, than you may not yet fully understand how important scheduling is. Old-timers out there are probably smiling knowingly and nodding right now! I’m curious to hear from you all – what scheduling system works best for you?
Mine? Not so simple. I go old-school, preferring to have a hard copy of a schedule rather than using an Internet program. Why? Easy – I already usually have a dozen windows open. I don’t need another one, and I like to be able to work on my schedule as I’m doing something else. I use a calander rather than a datebook. I know you guys and gals are going to cringe, but here’s what it looks like (this is the April version):

Yeesh. Yet it all makes perfect sense to me! That’s pretty much my entire life, scheduled. As you can see, it isn’t just work – it’s also bill due dates, meetings with friends, doctor’s appointments, etc. The numbers and times listed every where? Haha, I won’t bore you trying to explain it, but it helps me keep track of specfic projects and my part-time job (I also work at a day care center 10-15 hours a week).
So what’s your schedule like? Do you have a hard copy or keep track on your computer? Or, do you *gasp* just have everything in your head? Leave a comment telling us all about it, or if you’re really brave, post a picture!
Oh, and yes, for those of you who are wondering…those are coffee stains. I’ll blame the spills on my cat.

She's not as innocent as she looks.

I make a list of 10 things every day. Half the list is things that were on yesterday’s list usually. It’s a never ending thing. If something is number eleven, it goes on tommorrows list. This works.
