Season 7 – The Apprentice – Week 8

Mr. Trump made it clear to both teams this week, that though he “extended grace” last week, there would be no grace this week. Someone would be fired this week from the losing team.
The Task: Write, direct and produce a 10-minute live segment. Pick a product and sell it. The team who sells the most wins.
The project managers this week, Stephen Baldwin for Empresario and Marilu Henner for Hydra. Each of the teams this week worked well together for the most part. The show was definitely more focused on the task at hand rather than personal attacks on players. I appreciated that for the record.
Empresario selected the sweeper. Trace Atkins was selected as the on air host. He was very nervous, yet calm cool and collected. Trace Atkins hit it out of the park. He connected with his co-host prior to being on air and it carried over to the program.
Hydra selected the step ladder/handtruck. Marilu was so excited about her product, that she missed looking at the big picture. There was no strategy for ensuring that they sold the most of their product. Marilu had a tremendous amount of excitement and enthusiasm. Almost too much! As the on air host, Marilu had toooooo much energy! It was over the top!
In the end Mr. Trump liked Trace Atkins’, laid back, calm demeanor on air, better than Marilu Henners frenetic energy. Hydra lost and Marilu Henner was fired. Easy Pay payment plan seemed to be the difference between Empresario’s win and Hydra’s lost.
The only other comment I have concerning the show is that now that Marilu Henner has been fired, Stephen Baldwin looks more and more like he may win. I am not sure I want him to win, but he is actually the strongest candidate left on the show. I do want Piers Morgan gone. His integrity, and poor leadership leave him vulnerable every time he goes into the boardroom. He wasn’t sure he wouldn’t get fired today. Only time will tell. Who would you like to see win the Celebrity Apprentice? I definitely want to hear from you!!

Most of my friends any I were rooting for Piers from day one. He was amazing. Very very shrewd business person, got every task right to the core and won them. Business sabotage should not be encouraged, but I do think it was within the boundary. I didn’t find anything in this man showing him lack of integrity, no, he was playing a business game, to kill his components, and to win. The spirit was actually rather inspiring to me.
Hi Sherry! Thank you for your comment! I certainly appreciate your view. Piers crossed the line throughout the show in my opinion. In the end he won, and I couldn’t argue with Mr. Trump’s choice.
I would love to hear more about how you were inspired by Piers. Please share!
