Security Flaw in Safari on Vista Fixed

June 20, 2008 by Milo Riano

Apple has just released a fix for a security flaw in Safari running on Windows Vista. The flaw allows download of software from malicious sites without the knowledge of the user.

This flaw is finally fixed, almost two months after Microsoft has released a warning on it (found here).

The flaw works by luring a user to a site which initiates the download without his knowledge.

Apple before fixing the problem blames Microsoft about their executables which cause Safari to be vulnerable — ???
