See Duke Nukem Forever in action. No kidding.

You would never ever believe this. Remember Jason Hall? That’s “Jace” to you. He’s the former CEO of Monolith and star of the Jace Hall Show. At first glance, you may think that there’s nothing special about this guy since his show probably isn’t even on TV. What if I tell you that Jace Hall actually got to play Duke Nukem Forever?

Forget the short gameplay sequences shown in the video, forget the fact that Duke Nukem Forever is taking over 12 years to develop, forget the fact that this long-lost FPS has been considered vaporware for the past decade or so. This is the priceless part of the episode:

Jace Hall to 3D Realms founder George Broussard: “What the fuck is taking so long?”

I do have another question. After Jace gets to play the game himself, he says: “Perfect. I saw it. They have been working. It’s not a myth. You’re going to be pleased.”

How is this game going to please us?

I don’t know about you, but if a game took this long to develop, I think it’s normal to expect some degree of quality that’s supposed to knock off our socks and make us forget that it took over 12 years to make. From what I’ve seen, it looks like your average FPS. Take note: there’s no trace of a single hooker either.
