Channel Register might say that Windows Vista is four years late and that’s been through a least one major makeover and numerous revisions, co-president Jim Allchin should definitely be proud and thankful for the dedication and commitment shown by his people. He is reported to have sent an email with the following sentiments: Windows Vista will rock the world with excitement. I’m simply in awe of the dedication and perseverance demonstrated by the team who have worked tirelessly to make this the most reliable, most secure, most manageable and simply the most fun use operating system we have ever created.
I don’t care about the delays because I believe the tremendous amount of work put forward by the developers and people of Windows Vista is truly remarkable. Being and IT professional (Professional Experience here) myself, I understand the complexity and ripple effects of even the tiniest change in timeline, specs, etc. that could hinder the product from being released on time. I can’t help but think how proud and grateful Jim is at this moment for his people.
