Seven hunks to watch out in the Twenty20 World Cup

Twenty20 World Cup has kicked off with a bang, and I know you guys are glued to your television sets. Detach yourself from it for a jiffy, and let’s watch out this line-up of some cool hunks of Twenty20 World Cup. You know, one reason why we (naughty) girls watch cricket is because we get to behold all these super-handsome folks that we can only dream of hooking up with in real life.

Big Broad

6′ 5″ tall, Stuart “Big” Broad is your baby-faced-and-boyish-body guy. But I can bet you would rarely come across a bloke with such a perfectly symmetrical face and sharp features.

Stuart Broad, Stuey as we call him

Physiognomy apart, he’s broadened his impact on the field, too. In his very first ODI series, the boy from Nottingham grabbed a Man-of-the-Match with this four-wicket haul complimented by a 45 not-out against India. It will be interesting to watch him bowl in the faster version of the game.

Country: England

Perfect 10 James

James Anderson picked 14 wickets in the series against India, and was responsible for keeping the opponents on toes all the time.
James Anderson
What’s more: he was Man-of-the-Series for the test series against India. The only downside about this Adonis is that, well, he’s married! Yet, that, I know, wouldn’t stop us chicks from checking his near-perfect frame out every time he turns up to bowl.

Country: England

Name is Bond

Shane Bond

Shane Bond was a cop before he turned to international cricket. Interesting resume, eh? This medium fast bowler has all it takes to sweep women off their feet. The Twenty20 world cup has just begun and he’s already walked his team to a superb victory. I am a sucker for his cool temperament.

Country: New Zealand

A B C of de Villiers

A. B. de Villiers looks like ace fielder Jonty Rhodes’ younger cousin, believe me. I wouldn’t call him handsome, in that he doesn’t fit the bill of your conventionally handsome bloke, but there’s something about his lovely face that sets him apart from the rest. He’s young and rather prodigious. I think this is the right opportunity for him to crack some big runs. A B de Villiers

Country: South Africa

Brett “Brute” Lee

Brett Lee

You knew I was coming to Brett Lee, didn’t you? How can we forget the Australian blonde who has more endorsement deals in India than his own country? He’s just recovered from a ligament injury in the knee, and eager to wrack havoc on batsmen, something he definitely would have missed at the beginning of this year when he was ruled out of the world cup. “You go Dad, ” I can hear his baby boy shouting.

Country: Australia

Shaun “Kissable” Tait

If you looked at him, you would notice Shaun Tait closely resembles Lee in style. And his style I like. Just like Anderson, he has a physique girls would die over. And he ain’t no mediocre – he was one of the top wicket-takers.Shaun Tait

for Oz during the world up. Flying kisses to him…

Country: Australia

Shahid Afridi: Mr. Smooth Hair

Shahid Afridi

Can you believe he married at age 20? Well, whatever! It’s mesmerizing to see his hair blowing when he bowls. They are just so smooth and silky… Looks apart, Shahid Afridi is the go-to man when you need someone to slash fours and sixes and get quick runs. Twenty20 is just his thing.

Country: Pakistan

So, hey cricketos (my term for all cricket fans), did I miss anyone? What’s your take on the list?

They all have good features, but Shane and Brute appeal to me more than the rest. :) Who’s the one that pulls at your lusting strings?

  4. SIXANDOUT says:

That should be Shane and Brett, Mysti! Hah, Brute’s just a nick-name.

As a teen, I madly worshiped Brett Lee. Now these cricketers get married and it dowses our passion for them! I still adore him very much, but if I had to vote someone as my latest crush, that would be Stuart Broad.

So gradually your interest in the game is awakening, huh?
