Several Days and 1 Million iPhone 3Gs Later

July 14, 2008 by Juan Magdaraog

MarketWatch reports that Apple has sold 1 million of its latest version of the iPhone. It took Apple 74 days to sell 1 million units of the previous iPhone. Granted the first version was only available in the United States. The 3G version was simultaneously launched in 21 countries last July 11.

Still this is a big thing. Sure Nokia sells about a million phones everyday or something like that but Nokia has been doing this a long time plus they have a wide range of phones to sell. This is Apple’s single try and for it to sell this much at such a short period of time is really tremendous.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple surpasses all its targets for the iPhone. With 50 more countries yet to launch the iPhone, demand will really be great. Soon we’ll all be seeing everyone with an iPhone.
