Sexy Girlfriends Don’t Pack Pistols: The Follow-Up

Last week we reported the odd case of Lindsey Paulat’s police standoff. Paulat, now the “ex” girlfriend of Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Cedrick Wilson, was charged with aggravated assault (of her Mom, no less).

That and the reckless endangerment charge have been withdrawn, but she’s now been bagged with discharging a firearm in an occupied structure (i.e., Wilson’s home). 

And if that didn’t make you shake your head enough, there’s more: Paulat claims Wilson “encouraged” her to commit suicide.

Now when we read that, we envisioned a scene like this:

Paulat: Honey, I think I’m going to bite the bullet. Literally.

Wilson: If that’s going to make you happy, baby, I’m all for it.

But apparently it was a little different in reality. The two had a lover’s spat, and Paulat threatened to kill herself multiple times (including when Wilson left and they spoke on the phone). Wilson said go ahead, make my day—yes, that’s a paraphrase—over the phone.

The kicker? Wilson’s attorney said the WR didn’t chat with Paulat until after police involvement and that the calls were monitored. . .
