Should NASCAR Punish Kurt Busch?

Surprisingly, (or maybe not so surprisingly), NASCAR still hasn’t announced any kind of penalty for Kurt Busch, after his pit road altercation with Tony Stewart. If you recall, Busch pinned Stewart’s car against the pit wall to show his frustration with Stewart, but in the process, forced a crew member to jump on Stewart’s car to avoid being pinned as well.

It’s one thing for the drivers to bang each other on the track, but when you take that behavior onto pit road, where the odds of hurting someone else is very high, then you’ve crossed the line, and it becomes almost criminal behavior. If I were Mike Helton, I’d suspend Busch for 5 races, and take owner points away immediately, and if it happens again, I’d make sure Busch never drove a NASCAR event ever again.

Sadly, both Busch brothers possess this us-against-the-world mentality, and someone’s going to get hurt if they don’t get reigned in quickly.
