Should you Wait for Windows 7?

Windows 7 is not 2 years away and given that the release candidate is already in the hands of testers, msdn & technet subscribers, the release of Windows 7 could be a few months out. At this stage, do you really want to buy a new PC loaded with Windows Vista?

Below are the questions that could guide you in deciding whether you need a new machine or not:

1. Do you care about having the latest and greatest operating system?

2. Would you get an ROI through upgrading your PC into a better, faster box

3. Do you have the extra money to spend on a new hardware without any ROI concerns?

4. Are you fine using Windows Vista for the next two to three years without upgrading to Windows 7?

If I am to buy a new hardware and pay for the Windows Vista computer, I would rather wait when the final version of Windows 7 is out. I have three laptops and a desktop, and with that, I can simply wait it out.

I am fine using Windows Vista for a few more years. I just notice Vista main problem for me is updating software since Vista sometimes don’t give me permissions to edit registry keys when installing updates.

Other then that, Vista been an okay OS.
