phil jaquesPhil Jaques, the man responsible for scoring 2 centuries against England in three days, is actually eligible to play for England.

Born in Sydney to English parents, Jaques is a familiar figure in county cricket, where he has played for Northants, Yorkshire and Worcestershire.

As a British passport-holder he qualified as a domestic player with Northants before deciding late in 2003 that did not want to play for England because “my heart says Australia”.
