Sick of Being Sick

Toothpaste For Dinner

I stayed home from work yesterday. I don’t think I’ve done that before. But worse, I haven’t worked out in 6 days. 6 days! I’m about to go nuts- I swear. I tried a few times, but my chest got all tight and I started coughing uncontrollably, so I decided to let it run its course and not push it. But I feel like a lump, which isn’t helping me feel better at all. I’m going to try and do a video tonight, and see how that treats me, because if I reach one week with no workout, I fear I may explode.

There won’t be any videos this week, as I have had no voice, so they would all be pantomiming and interpretive dance, which isn’t very helpful.  I’ll make a few this weekend with all your great suggestions.  Keep ‘em coming- if there is something you’d like to see, leave it in a comment, or send it in an email to kelly.turner@b5media.com.

  1. Sad! When I’m sick and feel like doing something, I usually go for a short walk or do some yoga. I find though that when I start getting really annoyed and ticked about feeling like poo, I usually start to feel better. When you have the energy to get annoyed, then you’re on the mend!

Oh, and I totally want to see a video where you discuss what you normally do for a workout, when you feel better of course! :)

Oh no! Sounds like it’s in your chest… hopefully not pneumonia?! my bro came down with this recently and even after a stretch on antibiotics still couldn’t kick it. i should find out how he’s doing… maybe you should go see your doc???

I know how you feel. When you are used to moving your body, being sick feels worst because you are just lying around. I was sick all last week and was only able to squeeze in some 15 minute walks and a yoga session between my coughs. Even this week, I feel like I do not yet have my stamina back yet.

Hope you feel better soon! Sometimes a break is just what the body needs.

When you’re up and at ‘em again, I’d love to see a video featuring strength exercises that require no weights or other equipment.

Hey I love interpretive dance! I hope you feel better soon. But you know, you could still do the dancing if you want to;)

  7. caroline says:

Restup and get to feelin better girl! It’s better to wait it out than to make it worse, good luck tonight! :)

Remember when you did the guest video tutorial because I was sick? Let me know if you want me to do one for you!

P.S. I didn’t work out for 6 days straight either, I feel your pain

    All the Best,

    Andrew R

Aw I hope you’re feeling better! I’ve been sick for the past week too (just to spite me because it was exam week, I’m sure). Being sick sucks.
