Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash Back for the Holidays

Pepsi-Cola’s (NYSE: PEP) Sierra Mist brand is re-introducing its holiday flavor for the second year in a row. Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash and Sierra Mist Free Cranberry Splash will be available for a limited time during the 2007 holiday season in 20-ounce and 2-liter bottles as well as 12-packs and 12-ounce cans.
Rather than just re-designing the packaging for its existing products like its primary competitor, Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO), Pepsi goes a step further by extending its product line with a special holiday flavor. In fact, the packaging for Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash and Sierra Mist Free Cranberry Splash doesn’t even have a holiday theme. It’s a great concept that must be working since the company is making Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash available again this year.
What do you think of the various holiday packaging and holiday brand extensions launched by consumer products companies? Are there any you particularly like or dislike?
I LOVE Sierra Mist – Cranberry Splash!!! Please bring it back, it should not be for the holidays only. I gave up drinking Wild Cherry Pepsi for this drink and that’s it saying something for me cause I have been drinking Pepsi for mean years.
Please again bring it back for GOOD!!!

I truly enjoyed sierra mist cranberry over the holidays, I wish you would bring it back. It had a great flavor and would hate to have to wait until the holiday season again to be able to purchase it again.
Sierra Mist cranberry splash needs to be available all year! Especially in the summer!
Recently diagnosed with diabetes, could never tolerate the diet soda’s, however I LOVE Sierra Mist Free Cranberry Splash and so does my husband. We look for it everywhere we go. Why on earth would you not make such a popular product available all year long????? We buy it by the case when it is available. The only diet soft drink I like. Please make it a year round product!!
Like others here, I also didn’t realize that Sierra Mist Free Cranberry Splash was a seasonal offering. I’ll try making my own version, but next year I’ll stock up.
Please, please, please, bring back Sierra Mist Free Cranberry Splash, soon. I love the taste and the intensity (carbonation). It is great for diabetics like me who have trouble with constant nausea – better than Alka-Seltzer for sure.

We love Sieera Mist Cranberry Splash!!!!! Why is it only available for the holidays. From looking at the comments people are leaving, I would think that people would buy it year round. I know that we would.

I do not drink anything but Sierra Mist. When I found that you had Cranberry Splash I tried it and loved the taste. Please make it available throughout the year. I have one left and I really would like to have some more.

It’s back! Just bought some. It has a new look this year.
I just looked in my wife’s refrigerator to see what she has in the way of soda. I see this Sierra Mist cranberry in there. I saw she had half a two liter bottle left so I decided she wouldn’t mind if I had a glassful.
Oh wow, I like this stuff a lot! :) I mean, it’s great!
Now, my wife is at work, at a store, where she bought this soda. :))
I’ll just have to call her and have her bring me home a couple of big bottles for myself! :)))

My entire family really love Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash. I found a store that sold the can sodas until the beginning of the summer and I didn’t realize that it was a seasonal beverage. If I had known that I would have stocked up on the can sodas. Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash is so good and refreshing. There is nothing else like it. I hope that you will be able to sell it all year round.
I love this soda but the fact of the matter is that if it was a year round soda it wouldn’t have the same special affect . Look at It as an extra special thing for an extra special time of year. Great thing to look forward to

Why is the Sierra Mist cranberry splash only sold during the holidays. It’s wonderful drink and I think it should be sold just like the regular Pepsi and Sierra Mist soda’s. Everytime I find something I really like they seem to take it off the market, why is that? It’s bad enough that all the stores don’t carry it.
I think they should carry the cranberry year round. It is the best.

I just had Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash at a party this past weekend, 1/30/10 and loved it. I hope I can go out and find some even though it’s beyond the holiday. I’m not supposed to have caffeine and it was a great alternative to having the same ol’ clear sodas.
