Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash Back for the Holidays

Pepsi-Cola’s (NYSE: PEP) Sierra Mist brand is re-introducing its holiday flavor for the second year in a row. Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash and Sierra Mist Free Cranberry Splash will be available for a limited time during the 2007 holiday season in 20-ounce and 2-liter bottles as well as 12-packs and 12-ounce cans.
Rather than just re-designing the packaging for its existing products like its primary competitor, Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO), Pepsi goes a step further by extending its product line with a special holiday flavor. In fact, the packaging for Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash and Sierra Mist Free Cranberry Splash doesn’t even have a holiday theme. It’s a great concept that must be working since the company is making Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash available again this year.
What do you think of the various holiday packaging and holiday brand extensions launched by consumer products companies? Are there any you particularly like or dislike?
Why is the drink only marketed for the holidays – I love it and would love to be able to purchase the drink year round! Can it be bought from Pepsi after the holidays?
Man ok I thought I was the only one who was crazy enough to go across diff cities in my state buying up in bulk the cranberry Sierra Mist.

Wal-mart, Dillons, gas stations, they would stock the shelves and displays packed full, and a day later
they would be empty. I know there are pepsi products that only sell a few units a day consistently, and they just sit and gather dust on the shelf;))

i have been rationing out my cranberry splash sierra mist free. it is the most refreshing soda i have had in a long time. I really hope you make it available all the time. if it is only a seasonal thing, i might have to buy a truck load next fall
I love the Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash and am at the point of rationing it just to make it last a little longer. Cranberry is good for us year round, ever considered keeping it all the time for us. My grandchildren love it, I just have not been able to keep it in the house, every place I hide the bottles, they find it!!
How long has it been since the Pepsi Company officials checked the shelves for Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash, they are empty because people have been buying them and drinking them, the shelves are empty and have been empty!! Please bring them back year round, Americans have spoken, we love the drink!!
I cannot find Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash anywhere. At least I now know it’s a limited product. My family and I would love to have it year round.
I am most frustrated in not finding Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash in various stores around Atlanta. I asked a local Publix to special order it for me. The word I got back is that this was just a Holiday Drink. Bah Humbug. It was the favorite for myself and my wife and her Bunko group wanted more. Alas, I had only bought 24 cans. Is there no way to special order it from Pepsi?
I’m in KC and like all these others here I think this drink should be available year around. Since they brought it back for a second year it must be selling.
Everyone in my family loves cranberry splash, why just the holidays? This drink is so refreshing, my kids had me hopping all over the place looking for this stuff. It’s the best drink. My 6 children and 13 grandchildren can’t get enough of Cranberry Splash. I think it would be a welcome drink for the summer as well. So please give it back to us.
I can’t find this drink in Georgia all the time. I get it at the gas stations but they run out because of me. What Georgia grocery stores can I find them at. I love them and it’s seems like I’m nearly addicted to it.

I love diet sierra mist – cranberry splash. I have been rationing my supply and i drank the last can and was wondering where to buy it. now i find out that it was just a holiday treat – would be great to have it all year round.
You have got to make Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash available all year. My mother in law served this during Thanksgiving and it was a big hit. It’s so refreshing I can’t imagine it not being popular during the summer months too. More importanly, I miss my Vodka and Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash. That was a hit at Thanksging too!!

I’m a happy camper! I’ve been able to purchase LOTS of it at Wal-Mart, Kroger, Ingles & Food City in Knoxville, TN. I’m glad to have it back and hope it will remain available year round.
I would stock my pantry with 100’s of 2-liter bottles, but the diet variety doesn’t keep well because of the artifical sweetner.

Hum… those sierra mist cranberry splash is really good and I do agree they should be on shelf year around I only find regular one and it does taste good but we need diet ones too for we are diabetic and bladder problem and knowing the cranberry will help us get better .. we are cola-coke drinkers and this mist ones are beat the coke .. please make it year around and you will make lot of profit from that business …
The Sierra Mist Free Cranberry Splash is great. Pleasr keep it year round. It would be a really refreshing drink in the summer too.
I received a coupon for SMFCS and it said Rite Aide carried it. I went online to see where the nearest store would be…it turns out that there is nothing within 50 miles of where I live north of Atlanta. Perhaps you have a store nearer you…

(it will lose all its customers people will realize that they dont have to get a whole bunch for the holidays because it will always be available therefore you would lose all your customers and face it nobody buys Sierra Mist anymore people buy Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash YOU WOULD LOSE ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS
When my wife and I discovered the Sierra Mist Free Cranberry Splash, we liked to have went crazy driving all over town to find more of it… guess what? Either pepsi has already run out of it here or it disappears as fast as it gets on the shelf; but in all of the stores? You got a great tasting beverage that is diet, caffiene free and delicious. Don’t stop with the holiday teasing; put it out here in abundance so we can stock up on it. We were diehard Diet A&W Root Beer drinkers, but we will gladly put it back on the shelf for more Sierra Mist Free Cranberry Splash. Please get more of it out in the market. It would be a great year-around refreshment… think about it!
They have it at Kmart. It is on sale this week.

In 2007 discovered Sierra Mist Splash. Bought 2 12 packs and could never find it again until 2008. Cub puts it in their adds with coupon but never and I mean never has it in stock. We like to mix with Bacardi Limon and a small fresh twist of Lime. This is an excellent product enjoyed by all our family.
Wow I love the cranberry Splash Free.Are you guys ever missing out on a deal.A lot of us has to drink cranberry juice for bladder infections.And this is the best stuff I have ever tasted.Please make it for year round….
This is one beverage that could be used year round since it is also a healthy drink with the cranberries. My husband is diabetic and he drinks alot of dark soda. The sierra mist free is one of his favorites and he spent several hours going to many stores to locate more of the sierra mist free and all stores are out. Please bring this back year round.

Well another year, another post on this blog, (I’m the Jessica who posted the year before. Again I emailed Pepsi but they never listen. I even asked a pepsi worker and he said nope, not til next year… jerk. I have 14 in stock though, got to make those last me til next holiday season.
It is getting very hard to find Siera Mist Cramberry Splash. Why don’t you make it available all year. I really enjoy it.

Yes… I am in agreement with everyone else… PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE bring it back. I am going through withdrawels…..Whenever I see it in the store, I stock up like crazy becasue I am not sure when I will see it again… This will be a great seller for the company and a great product for your consumers.

I do not understand why the Sierra Mist Cranberry Free is available on so limited a basis. My family drinks almost 4 cases a week when it is available. I know several others who drink 2 or 3 cases a week. Please explain to me why you don’t have it available all year.
I might suggest since Pepsi doesn’t want to offer this product year around then maybe we should lobby for a Sprite or Seven-Up version from one of their competitors.
Maybe Coca Cola will pay more attention to the will of the consumer.
