Silent Push for Windows XP

September 22, 2007 by Milo Riano

Microsoft is reported to be quietly allowing PC makers to offer Windows XP downgrade. This should give buyers the option to choose what operating system they would like.

This program is only available for Windows Vista Business and Windows Ultimate. Fujitsu is aggresively pushing for this especially when they want to continue service the skeptics on using the latest operating system.

Other PC makers including HP are including XP Pro restore discs for little or for some, no charge for it.

It may not be a good option for Microsoft, but if it would bring them sales through Windows XP while anticipate them to move to Windows Vista in the near future especially when they finally stop the support and sales of Windows XP.

Since there are some consumers who still want XP, then just give it to them for the meantime.

It seems that a lot if users, have forgotten, how much of a PAIN XP was when it first came out!!
We even complained that SP 1 was not enough, and it wasn.t setteled until SP 2 came out. So what is the big deal on Vista? I loved at first site and when all the needed Drivers were available, It looks great. Now I just Insatlled SP 1 and things lokk really good. I DO NOT WANT TO GO BACK TO xp. I love Vista, it’s new and refreshing !!!!
