Sims 2 Holiday Edition Help Request

Hey game geniuses out there, some of our readers are experiencing technical difficulties installing the Sims 2 Holiday Edition. The installation process keeps asking for disk 1, even after they’ve inserted it. Ideas? Suggestions?
Update: Someone at The Sims Zone, posted a similar question: “Ive already put disc no.1 before I open the program then when i try to play it i get this message “please instert the correct dvd-rom,select ok and restart application”. No one has posted any solutions, yet, but you can keep watching it and this, to see if anyone comes up with anything. If someone does, I’ll update here.
Update #2: Suggestion, by Tor (thanks!): What you could try is making an iso/mirror of the CD, then use Daemon Tools to mount it.. Somehow the computer has an easier task to figure out the CD if it has all the files in a nice little iso.

Holiday edition is the full game of Sims 2 Plus the expansion.
The Party Pack is just the add-on content. Note the $40/$15 dollar prices (Respectively)
that may be causing an issue to those of you who already have the Sims 2 installed, because it wants to install the Sims 2, but you already have it installed, so it’s asking for the first disk.

and i know that ur suppose to make cookies but how i got evreyhting is it the snack cokiies im addictted to the sims2 and have EVERYTHING and if u dont like the sims 2 holiday editon well stop complaining and do something bout it ps my birthday is in 9 days lol
I’m missing a lot of items that are on the regular sims 2 with my holiday edition. I had the sims 2 before (first disc got scratched) and then i got holiday edition and its missing items from both the regular game and the stuff pack. Does anyone else have this problem?

hey i just bought the sims 2 holiday edition at a flea market with my friends and I was wondering how do you buy christmas stuff and how to make it christmas time and make santa come and everything
Question: I have had The Sims 2 Holiday Edition for about 2 years now and still haven’t been able to install it. I follow the directions in the book but my computer is telling me that i am running the wrong version of The Sims 2. Please insert NightLife. How do i get around this?

what are the other disks for in the sims2 holiday edition?is it suppose to snow around christmas?how do get chrismas stuff?

Hii everyone i havent found this ANNOYING issue anywhere on any posts on this website so PLEASE SOMEONE HELP THIS IS REALLY ANNOYING.
Well I love Sims but I only have Sims 2 Double Deluxe. My friend has sims 2 pets so her dad knew a way i could download it without putting the disc in. PROBLEM IS i needed to put my memory stick in everytime i played Sims with the PETS expansion pack. So i thought – Why bother? So i uninstalled Sims 2 Pets, but Double Deluxe stayed on my laptop thank God! BUT I HAD A FAMILY OF 10 – 1 TEENAGER, 2 PARENTS, 2 CHILDREN AND FOUR BABIES AND A MASSIVE HOUSE and God damn they were RICH AS EVER THANKS TO CHEATS. [Cheats are posted below that have worked for me!] But i went back on it and ALL MY FAMILIES HAD BEEN DELETED. I GOT SO FAR ON THAT FAMILY NOW IM SO ANGRY. BELIEVE ME ITS NOTHIN COMPARED TO ALL YOUR DIFFICULTIES.
I need help. If you cant help and if it isnt possible to get my big family that i got so very far on back, then no worries, but id rather u tell me i cant do anythin about it otherwise this wud be a waste of time. thanks
Cheats =] (press Ctrl + Shift + C to type these in)::
1. Want twins? type in: forcetwins
2. Loadza money type in: motherlode (repeatedly)
3. type in: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true (exactly THAT) and hold SHIFT whilst clicking on the mailbox, sims, or the dustbin and there’ll be options LIKE FORCE FRIENDS AND MAKE ME KNOW EVERYONE AND if you have PETS there’ll be MAKE A PET
