Electronic Arts is coming out with a holiday edition of its popular game: Sims 2. This special release will be hitting stores November 17th and may be well worth it to Sims fans everywhere (I know it’s looking mighty nice to me).
So what can you expect to find in the holiday edition? Well according to the official website:

The EA people certainly know how to add content to their games, and keep them refreshing. I’ve been enamoured of The Sims since I purchased the original the day after it was first released. Unfortunately, I am entirely horrible at it. My Sims grow to hate me – and each other – in a matter of minutes. It’s quite astounding, really. But, hey, maybe what they need is just a bit of holiday spirit…

Hey. I just got sims2 holiday edition and i installed it but i don’t know how to get santa to come!! I am so ticked off! It was probaly a rip off. I payed 40 dollars for it!! Any help?

I was wondering is it true that you have to uninstall the others because my friend has the game and hers doesn’t work either.So I want to make sure you HAVE to uninstall them first.

Well its not that easy if you have a boy or a girl thats been nice not naught then on christmas eve around a minute after midnight santa will come by and for cookies well youll have to buy or get them some how and insted of clening up the cookies after ur player has eaten them make him drop the cookies infront of the x-mas tree and with the combonation of my pervious tip on how to get santa. snata will come and eat ur cookies!

i just got the sims 2 holiday edition and am having trouble installing it. i already have the sims 2, the sims2 university, and the sims 2 night life installed. but when ever i put in disc one for the holiday edition it tells me to put in the sims nightlife?
Q:how do u uninstall the sims games when i put the discs in they just start playing?

We have got the Christmas holiday pack and it doesnt work. it says it is installed but wecannot see any of it. It keeps asking for you to put in another disk? it is driving me crackers!! can anyone help?
i downloaded the sims 2 and the nightlife and i can get on the nightlife but not the sims any ideas
To make a Christmas dinner, you’ll need the Cornucopia (decorative) in your kitchen, high cooking skills ( 8 bars I think [not sure]) then click on the fridge and it should appear. =)

But PLZ I’m a desperate Sims 2 Nightlife owner and I’ve accidentally did something to my Sims @ Nightlife Icon that starts the game in my Ts Bin. Umm so I was wondering if someone would be able to help me with a copy of theirs. Not the icon plz. Oh my gosh this would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!! I love my Sims dearly but I am unable to play with that little icon thing I deleted. Plz if anyone can help thanx. Happy Sims everyone!

how do you get them to open gifts.. and does it just turn into x-mas .. at some point in the game? i dont get it lol please help
i just got the sim2hoiliday edition and i tried installing it..okay i have four disks..the first one installs and then it asks to insert the second disk but then does nothing else..ive waited and waited..it left off at 23% on the first disk and it just stays there…helpp..im going nutz..

Hi,I have all the expansion packs and stuff packs, but when i installed the holiday happy thingy, I used the prior cd and i only got about 8 items in my game! And no fireworks! PLZ HELP!
and when a try to install the cd again, it sez it’s already installed. and I can’t uninstall it!

you should show the sims having sex an show them in the hotpital having a baby and having a baby should be easier like woohoo 1 time than your pregnant and you should have the baby 1 day game time
when i put my Sims 2 Holiday Edition in, it won’t do anything. It will work on my parents’ computer, but it won’t work on mine. What’s the problem?

you dont need to install the very 1st sims game meaning number 1 sims (sims 1) but you do have to install the sims 2 first du-Op

the Sims 2.Than mounths later my older sister clean it out for me than i reinstall the sims 2
it told me that there was enouch free space i press okay and the message still appear on the screen and that’s when i got really mad.PLEASE COULD SOME BODY HELP ME!

edition pack-something that does not require the first cd because it is the first cd just with more stuff on it for example the sims 2 holiday EDITION
expansion pack- It EXPANDS the variety of stuff u can do so it needs the first cd. For example the Sims2 Pets EXPANSION

I heard someone: 1st, you will cook the cookies, 2nd, you will make a christmas tree and then the last thing is (third) you will make a Fire place

uhm.. yeah. you cant do drive-bys and shit like that. but you can have kids and shit.. and your person actually looks pregnet. you can get bugs in your house if you dont clean it, you can die in a fire.. and your people grow up with the time you spend playing the game.
its a great game to have.
The sims2 should have more thing that we have like amusement parks, movie theaters, shopping malls, some people have appartments, baby strollers, car seats, the litle ones should be able to go places, there could be floaties for the pool, and there should be girl/boy scouts, debutant, the teenagers can have a job as a baby sitter and you can go to the baby’s house with the teenage, the teenages can have car wash fund raisers, there should be a daycare, more job offers, and you should be able to have a really small planet instead of a neighborhood, and thier could be different cultures, you can go on a boat or plane with your sim, and the babies can have pretty clothes. Those are great ideas.
I love the Sims 2 and I can not wait for The SIMS 3 any longer, but untill then I cant wait for The Sims 2 Free Time.
a while ago my computer was really slow so i uninstalled sims2 holiday edition. now my computer is much faster and i want to reinstall it but when it tells me error with ‘TSData\Res]Sims3D\Sims08.package’ it tells me i can retry to i do but it still tells me the same thing every single time i try to reinstall it. and this is making crazy because i love playing sims.

I’m trying to install the sims holiday party pack, but it keeps on popping up “the sims 2 isn’t installed, this installation requires that you already have the sims 2 installed” but it IS installed, whats up with that?? help please.

and when i load it the first disk is fine
but when i put the 2nd disk in it ALWAYS stops
at 33%

Santa comes when you have a tree set up and you need to make cookies as well, then at about midnight santa will visit. your sims dont need to be asleep.
Ok, I am really ticked off. I un-installed the sims 2 HOLIDAY EDITION, for some really stupid reasion, and now I want to install it again but EVERY TIME I put in disc ONE it says: “Please insurt disc 1″

Actually, guys, I have the sims 2 double deluxe installed (IT has the sims 2, the sims 2 night life, and the sims 2 celebration stuff) NOW tho, I am tryiing ot install the holiday edition. The happy holiday stuff pack is allready installed. LIKE I SAID BEFORE tho (look up :P) everytime I try to put the first disc in (there are 4 discs plus the bounus disc of happy holiday stuff) it says “Plese insurt disc 1″ and I’m like “My head is going to fricken explode” (not really)
