Slap-Happy NASCAR Drivers on Probation

Do you NASCAR? is the name of a blog here on the b5 Sports Channel, but the question isn’t just hypothetical. Drivers Tony Stewart and Kurt Busch, for example, would have to answer that question with a big fat NO!
At least for the next six races, anyway.
The two drama queens rivals gave a literal interpretation of “crash course” last Friday during a Bud Shootout practice. After the unfriendly bump-and-grind session, rumors emerged that there was an off-track follow-up with fists. (Say that three times fast. For even more fun, do that after a drink or two).
Both drivers are on a six-race probation, beginning with the Daytona 500. The purported bitchslapping incident isn’t the reason, though—they’re being reprimanded for the on-track antics.
But six races from now, get your tub of popcorn ready for the next installment of the Bitchslap Chronicles . . . ’cause chances are there will be more drama, sooner or later.

Jodie, these two have been going at it for quite awhile now, dating all the way back to last year’s Daytona 500. It was so severe that at one point, Busch nearly ran over a member of Tony’s pitcrew while he was trying to chase him down on pit road. Their paths are definitely likely to cross again …
Wow! Part of me thinks, “What’s wrong with them?” and another part thinks, “Hmm . . . now there’s an idea for a reality show.”
Thanks, Tim. Keep us posted!
