Following on the heels of the highly successful, surprise hit Slumdog Millionaire, Indian star, Anil Kapoor will be making his U.S. TV debut on 24.  He’s no stranger to acting, though.  He has appeared in more than 24: season seven logo. 100 Hindi films in the past 25 years.

It’s being reported that the actor has signed a deal to appear as a regular cast member on the eight season of Fox’s hit show.  Apparently, he will play a “leader from the Mideast who comes to the U.S. for a peacekeeping mission.”

In Slumdog, Kapoor played Prem Kumar, the sketchy host of India’s version of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.”
