Smart Binz – Startup Company Profile

Smart Binz is an interesting startup company located in Toledo, Ohio. A manufacturer of solar-powered recycling receptacles, this startup hopes to bring the need to recycle to light.

While normal recycling receptacles tend to blend into the background, Smart Binz receptacles use the power of the sun to attract attention. The startup is currently marketing to schools, public transportation systems and municipalities.

The solar-powered signage can contain information to draw attention including campus directions or events, local art, sporting schedules, “green” facts and any other type of branding.

As we mentioned earlier in the month, the green industry is a very hot startup industry for 2009. We will attempt to setup an interview with Smart Binz to learn more about their products.
