SMB World -1… Did you ever get there?

This has been bugging me almost my entire gaming life.

I remember that for some reason when I was a kid our family bought a strategy guide for Super Mario Bros on the NES… I know, it sounds ridiculous now, especially when you consider that the current record for a speedrun is 5 minutes and 9 seconds, but we had one anyway.

I pretty much knew the game inside out by that time anyway, but there was one thing hidden way at the back of the book that I could never reach, nor have I ever seen with my own eyes. The minus world.

In the wikipedia entry for the game there is a short section dedicated to the Minus World, which has details concerning its existence, and the reasons thereof, but is sadly lacking in a method of reaching the fabled realm.

I’m certain it exists, but I’ve never been able to make it there… Have you? If you have, or you can record yourself doing it, then either stick it on You Tube or Google video and I’ll feature it here.
