Smile You’re On Candid Camera!

If you’re looking for web cam software for Mac OS X, EvoCam maybe the one for you. It allows you to stream video, view and record video, create timelapse movies and most important in my opinion, use it for home security purposes.
The current version is 3.6.1 and it’s Universal Binary. Some new features of the current version are the ability to start and stop recording based on the schedule, audio sensor, added ability for Java Servelet or Server Push methods to stream video via the built-in web server. When you have EvoCam installed on several Macs on your network, you can enable the built-in server to use the built-in camera, iSight or web cam to have access to the video remotely. The built-in web server allows you to view the feed via a web page.
Pretty neat app. It’s $25 for the license. I have 15 days to see if it’s worth it.
