Snowblower = 1, Joe Sakic = 0

So every once in a while people go through a run of bad luck. Like when you get a herniated disc, for example. Or when you accidentally stick your hand in a snow blower.

At least, that’s the case for hockey player Joe Sakic from the Colorado Avalanche. He stuck his hand in a snow blower, and will miss “at least three months after breaking three fingers and damaging tendons.”

The thing is, Sakic was out with a bad back, so why use a snow blower in the first place? Or, hey, maybe someone upstairs is truly to tell him something. He IS 39 after all! Time to retire the hockey puck perhaps? He’ll have at least three months to think about it now.
