So, Apparently the Arizona Cardinals Still Are Playing In a College Stadium

September 26, 2006 by Albert Bianchi

After years of being a laughingstock professional football team playing in an old college stadium, Arizona St.’s Sundevil Stadium, the Cardinals are now a laughingstock professional football team playing in a new stadium named after a college. The University of Phoenix has bought the naming rights to the previously unnamed Cardinals Stadium. This really is more embarrassing that naming the stadium after Pink Taco. All the glitz and glamor of the new digs has been erased from memory, Arizona is still the team that plays in a college stadium. That’s just sad.

(By the way, I’m not really sure what’s going on in this picture and it really has nothing to do with the stadium, but it cheered me up significantly. I was in too deep that I forgot the Arizona Cardinals are funny.)

How the hell does this university have that much money…and why are they wasting their money on naming rights? Pathetic. Buy some new buildings.
