So this is what it’s come to

What is a writer’s time worth? Well if you believe this ad,. it’s a cup of coffee.

"I only need 15 minutes of your time if you do have a perfect english and happened to hang by West H’w'd or beverly hills area. we can meet up in a coffee beans or starbuck. its one page of a TV talk show treatment."

See, this guy thinks it’s 15 minutes, but what about the time it takes to formulate the initial cover letter? And travel time to said coffee shop? This job will take, at the very least, one hour of a writer’s time. That’s worth way more than an overpriced cup of coffee.

And nowhere do I see even an offer to buy the writer that cup of overpriced coffee.

Gotta love it, though. Very inspiring. I think what I might do from now on is accept paying assignments, arrange to meet another writer or editor for coffee, hang out while they do the work for me, then go home and submit it for my unearned paycheck.

    Pretty sweet deal.

My life must have been on ice. What kind of nonsense is this dribble? Do either parties believe the time worthwhile that they used to pen these idiotic words?
