Social networking can play an important role in establishing and communicating your online brand – business or personal. In fact, social networking is growing quickly and more and more social websites are popping up everyday. This month, Fast Company joined the list by adding their own social Business Network. Users can register for an account and begin publishing blog posts on the Fast Company websites, participating in forums and asking and answering questions.
I wrote an interesting guest post for Buzz Networker that was published today called Fast Company Joins the Social Networking Bandwagon about Fast Company’s entrance into the social web. It’s worth a read particularly if you run a business that could benefit from the social business aspect of Fast Company’s Business Network. I imagine more and more companies will join the social networking bandwagon in the not so distant future.
What do you think about companies adding a social element to their websites? I think it’s a great idea, particularly in terms of relationship marketing and behavioral segmentation.
