Well I'm not sure if that's the type of email I got from them. I got an invitation ages ago from a friend who was active there. (Maybe like 2 years ago)

Only recently I went to the site again cause of an email I got in my inbox notifying me of a message I have received. I notice my friend is no longer there, probably cause of everything you guys have said.

The annoying thing I have experienced is getting random girls messaging me like, what's up and how's it going, and I responded really confused why girls would message me like that and then the response is exactly them same or a similar phrase, so how's it going? and after asking why they are acting like this, it's all the same!!!

idk if there's a catch or some reason they do that, I even emailed the help team and told them about this nuisance but they didn't respond. I will delete my account though. Absolutely pointless site. Confusing and hideous design.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for. I got the same message:
"Can u do this?? I think I invited u before right?
It would really help me get some points and win some stuff!
The link is:"

In the best of cases HoverSpot is dishonest and decidedly not "kewl".

I agree with a lot of the people who commented. Hoverspot is a scam and just cheats people.

What a terrible experience. I got an email from my friend telling me to join so that she can get points and so I just decided to join and not really do anything. Well, once I joined, I let hoverspot check my address book to see if anyone i know had an account. I see a few different lists. One long list of people who don't have an account, some other list, and a short list with the people who do have an account. Underneath EACH of these lists, there is a separate submit button. So I click the submit button that is listed under the people who already have an account and the next day, I find out that an email was sent out to everyone on my list (including past instructors, past coworkers, etc). Why do they even bother to put a separate button under the different list if it's going to email everyone? Well, to make it worse, it is a personal-sounding email that goes like this:

Your friend --- has invited you to join HoverSpot:
Message from your friend:
Can u do this??? I think I invited u before right?
It would really help me get some points and win some stuff! The link is: ---

Message from a friend? What a lie. I never said that that. I realized that this is the same exact email that my friend sent to me earlier.

So I finally delete the account and I get an email saying:

"Your hoverspot account has been deleted because you have been determined to be in violation of the HoverSpot terms of service."

Violation?? So I check the terms of services and it doesn't say anything about violations if I delete my account.

So basically, it seems as if these people are thinking, "let's trick the people so that we can get their address list. If they leave, then let's make them feeling guilty." They obviously do not know anything about branding and marketing. People are not stupid. If people are treated as if they are stupid, they won't like the product or service. And if people don't like the product or service, then they've defeated the purpose of creating the product or service because without people, the product or service is dead.
