Social Security Administration Says if You Can Fly You Aren’t Disabled
Forty US pilots have been arrested on charges they falsified Social Security disability claims. The FAA and the Social Security Administration in cooperation with the Department of Homeland Security crosschecked names of people claiming SS disability payments with active pilots.
They may have been flying with a valid illness against FAA regulations or not ill at all and falsifying disability claims.

Thirty pilots are charged with making false statements to a government agency. Ten pilots are charged with making and delivering a false official writing.
