Sometimes I Forget

Sometimes I forget how difficult writing is for many people. I dash off emails that are reasonably coherent without much effort. Drafting a business letter is usually a snap. Even when I get bogged down, I’ve written for so many years that I totally trust my process.

This all came to mind today when a friend and fellow committee member was so very grateful because I was able to help him put his thoughts in words that most would understand.

Of course, it should be easy for me; after all I’ve been writing and getting published for over 30 years. It really is hard to get worse at something you practice.
