Sony Says: PS3 Delay Possible

Next Generation is reporting that a Sony spokesperson admitted that a PlayStation 3 delay was possible. And by possible, we know they mean, more than likely. Raise your virtual hands if you think the PS3 is launching in the spring? Anyone? Bueller?

SCE said that if final specs were not finalised with the Blu-ray Disc development consortium, the launch of the console could be delayed.

Famitsu president Hirokazu Hamamura, is quoted, “Sony has not begun taking orders early this month, that means that it would be difficult for the company to begin sales in May.”

My guess for the PS3? Fall, perhaps late fall, but hopefully in time for Christmas the Holidays.
