South Korea Wins Gold Medal in Baseball

It was an incredible gold medal game between South Korea and Cuba in men’s baseball at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. I was really expecting Cuba to win it all and was completely stunned by South Korea (I’m sure they shocked quite a few people since most didn’t even consider them a medal contender).
Even more impressive? South Korea won all nine of the games they played! How is that for a record? I’m sure the fact that the 14 members of the team won’t have to report for two years of military duty doesn’t hurt either!
Cuba ended up with the silver while the Americans won the bronze.
