Spacecat Rumour: Mega Man 9 on PSN and XBL

I don’t even know what to make of this one.
Destructoid has posted a rumour about the possibility of the long-awaited Mega Man 9 being made available by Capcom on Playstation Network and Xbox Live. The article is transcribed by “Ron NSFWorkman,” but he refuses to take credit for the rumour itself. Instead, all honour is upon “Spacecat.”
“Spacecat is someone I met during my days as a unicorn wrangler. He travels through time to find gamers the juicy gaming rumors that you crave.”
Well, I can’t mistrust the word of anyone who hangs out with a unicorn wrangler. Spacecat says the following will transpire once space and time have aligned in the proper manner:
“As you know, the core Mega Man series died off over 10 years ago with Mega Man 8, but fans will be happy to know it isn’t dead completely. Mega Man 9 is fully in the works. It gets announced in 2008. The series will introduce new characters, provide online multiplayer, and will have leaderboards. The game will be hitting the Xbox 360 on Live and the PlayStation 3 on PSN. For those of you in Japan, don’t worry. The series is coming to you also in the form of Rockman.”
There are some interesting writers in this line of work, but ’til now I’ve never met one who likes eating processed horse entrails from a can marked “Oceanfish.”
…Well there was that one writer for—nah, forget it.

My first thought is, “Awesome.”
My second thought it, “Wait, where’s Legends 3? LEGENDS 3!!1″ Yes, with a one.
I could totally see episodic-content-style Megaman games though. Just think, 8 new bosses every release!
P.S. In a horrible flash of foresight I predict that spacecat is a liar and instead of a new game they will be releasing a port of “Megaman & Bass, a.k.a. Rockman 9,” available for download at the low price of $50.
Also, Resident Evil 5 will be delayed again.
I’m somewhere between, “Awww, it’s not Legends 3″ and, “Oh boy, something besides Star Force!”
what can I say. I talk to cats that travel in time to find gaming info. I almost posted another last week but the word got out and Spacecat is scared of court.
I would hate to see Spacecat wind up in jail. The children of the future will need him, for theirs will be a grim existence.
