As a writer, I'm all for writers getting what they're entitled to. But some of these writers are making around $500,000 a year, and are putting others who make far less out of work while they're on strike, which dials down the sympathy factor.

I'm not a writer involved with the strike, but I'm part of a family that got rid of our TV six years ago. Even when we had it, I rarely watched it. So similar situation, there. :-)

(It was a bit awkward and confusing when I was commuting to a university where most professors often referenced popular shows to make points in classes, though…)

I don't often find myself thinking about the strike, but when I do (mostly due to my enjoyment of Moonlight, which my friend had to expose me to, I get frustrated. It just adds to the list of reasons why I want to stay far, far away from scriptwriting.
