Spike Announces 2009 Video Game Awards Nominees

Spike TV has announced their nominees for the 2009 Video Game Awards.  The show will be broadcast live on December 12, 2009 at 8pm ET and the two-hour event looks like it’s going to be pretty cool since they are going to unveil some new titles that will be released in 2010 and beyond.  This year VGA viewers will get a sneak peek at Halo: Reach which is an all-new prequel to Halo trilogy.

Here are the nominees.  I’d love to hear your predictions in the comments section.  I think Modern Warfare 2 is going to take the “Game of the Year” prize but I have been wrong before.
