Marshall Kirkpatrick over at SplashCast has thoughts on ‘10 Things You Can Do with Mixed Media RSS’. We just got RSS down pat and now we have mixed media RSS? Here is how Marshall defines it; ‘it’s a feed created for the delivery of video, photos, audio files and other media items all together by RSS.’

Here’s how the SplashCast folks defines a splash cast:

SplashCast enables anyone to create streaming media ‘channels’ that combine video, music, photos, narration, text and RSS feeds. These user-generated channels can be played and easily syndicated on any web site, blog, or social network page. When channel owners modify their channel, their content is automatically updated across all the web pages ‘tuned’ to that channel.

Go check out SplashCast and let me know what you think of it. I’m going to try it.
