Squad for England Sri Lanka test series

Jon Lewis has had the nod for the 1st test against Sri Lanka, after his sterling performance in the England A match.

England squad:

Andrew Flintoff (Lancashire, captain)
Ian Bell (Warwickshire)
Paul Collingwood (Durham)
Alastair Cook (Essex)
Matthew Hoggard (Yorkshire)
Geraint Jones (Kent)
Jon Lewis (Gloucestershire)
Sajid Mahmood (Lancashire)
Monty Panesar (Northamptonshire)
Kevin Pietersen (Hampshire)
Liam Plunkett (Durham)
Andrew Strauss (Middlesex)
Marcus Trescothick (Somerset)

I think it’s a good squad – slightly questionable over Ian Bell, but nice to see Monty Panesar and Liam Plunkett there.

I wonder if Owais Shah will ever play a test match again?

With a batting average of 63.00.

When Vaughan returns that will be in place of Bell.
